I started this series because I wanted to read the first one before the movie came out. I think I preferred Forever My Girl to this one, but only by a little. The storyline in Finding My Forever is really sweet and I loved the characters. I do have to say, though, that I really disliked the author's use of flashbacks in both this and the previous book in the series. For example, it was very applicable for Jenna to have a flashback of a moment with her abusive husband, but not so much when halfway through the book she has a flashback about something that just happened that we were left in the dark on as readers. There were a lot of times when I felt pertinent information was left out of the story, later to be recollected by the characters. While I do also enjoy reading the perspective of both the hero and heroine, there were definite gaps from where their POV left off and where it started again. I think the author could have done a lot better of a job including us as the readers in the story when the characters made those decisions. All in all it was a cute story, but I don't think I will continue to read the author.Tags : Finding My Forever (The Beaumont Series Book 3) - Kindle edition by Heidi McLaughlin. Finding My Forever The Beaumont Series Book 3 edition by Heidi McLaughlin Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I cannot get enough of this series and each if the characters in it! I've had Forever My Girl on my kindle for awhile. I'm glad I waited to start these stories because once I find a series, I have to read each one after, like right away. Waiting is not something I'm very good at. Since reading FMG, I've been 1-clicking immediately after finishing each book. I'm addicted to these rockers in 4225 West. Not everyone's life is perfect. Some are just trying to find their way, experienced loss & heartache or never thought they'd find the one that completes them and make them a better person.
Jenna has escaped an abusive marriage and has been setting down roots in Beaumont. A one night stand with Jimmy JD Davis, turns her world upside down and she has some serious life changing decisions to make. She's stronger than she gives herself credit for and I loved this side of her. Jimmy, is known as a womanizer and this I blame on having his heart broken as a child and as an adult by a woman that could've had everything if she was so self-absorbed and cheated on him.
When Jenna's safety and secure life she's had is turned upside down, she finds out just how much she means to everyone in this small town. Jimmy and Jenna's story is romance at its finest. Highly recommend reading this series!!!
This is yet another great book in The Beaumont Series. I'm kicking myself for not reading this series earlier.
I didn't expect Jenna and Jimmy to happen. They're so different. She doesn't date, really she stays away from men, except for her close friends. Jimmy is the opposite, he's the man-whore of the band.
Liam and Josie's wedding changed that though.
I was wondering who would cause the drama because Sam is gone. And boy did we get drama.
We do learn why Jenna is so closed off. I don't blame her, I think I would be also.
We also learn why Jimmy is the way he is.
I wanted to beat Chelsea and James with a steel chair to the head! How could people do that?
I'm very happy about what happened to Damien! That letter at the end, he's parents need to have some sense knocked into them.
On to the next book in the series. So happy I have time to do a reading binge right now.
This book was a definite miss for me. I enjoyed the first 2 books in the series but this one had some parts that were so far fetched I just couldn't get into it. There is one point about 20% in that I read an entire chapter thinking it had to be a dream sequence because it was such a leap from what had previously happened. When I got to the next chapter and realized it wasn't a dream I had to go back and read it again just to make sure I wasn't going crazy. There were many parts of this book that seemed to be thrown in just to drag it out & a lot of elements that seemed to be abandoned only to be picked up 20 chapters later when you had totaly forgoten about it. Even if you enjoyed the previous 2 books I'd save yourself several hours and skip this one.
